WANGARI AND THE TREES OF PEACE IN MARBELLA
“Wangari y los árboles de la paz” (Wangari and the trees of peace) is a story about Wangari Maathai, the first African woman to receive the Nobel Peace Prize.
The tale will be shared on “el Día de la Paz” at the Central Fernando Alcalá Marín library in Marbella.
Wangari received the Nobel Prize in 2004 for her work as an environmental and social justice activist, including her founding of the Green Belt Movement, an organization that works towards environmental protection and improving living conditions for women.
The storytelling event, suitable for children over three accompanied by an adult, will take place on January 27th and will highlight Wangari’s achievements and successes throughout her life.
GUIDED TOUR IN MUSEO CARMEN THYSSEN IN MÁLAGA
On January 28th, join a guided tour of “Arte Belga. Del impresionismo a Magritt” at the Museo Carmen Thyssen. The exhibition features 70 pieces of artwork, providing a comprehensive look at Belgian art movements from the 19th to the mid-20th century.
The tour will provide an in-depth exploration of the pieces on display, including the international influences that shaped them, such as those from French art. To participate in the tour, be sure to reserve a spot. The tour is 90 minutes long and begins at the museum entrance.
SECOND HAND MARKET IN TORREMOLINOS
